Stories of Krishna, by Parvati Devi Dasi, introduces children to their Supreme Friend. Adapted from Srila Prabhupada’s Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the pastimes recounted in this book give children a glimpse into the fascinating life of Sri Krishna and His associates in Vrindavana.
In this third of four volumes, we hear about the birth and kidnapping of Krishna and Rukmini’s son Pradyumna, the Syamantaka jewel, the killing of Bhaumasura and Dvivida, and Lord Balarama’s visit to Vrindavana. This volume takes us up to Samba’s marriage and Narada’s visit to Dvaraka.
Pārvatī Devī Dāsī first came in contact with Kṛṣṇa consciousness in San Francisco in 1968, attracted by the street chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra. She later joined ISKCON in Colorado, but soon moved to the Los Angeles temple, then later to Kenya, and then on to Mumbai, India. For the last eighteen years of her life she served selflessly as the manager of Srila Prabhupāda's Samadhi Mandir in Vṛndāvana.
Nareśvara Dāsa joined ISKCON in 1976 in Mexico City and was initiated by Śrīla Prabhupāda in 1977. He has served in New York, Kolkata, Australia, and Māyāpur, where he has had a variety of mostly managerial services, including as co-director of ISKCON Māyāpur and member of the Śrī Māyāpur Project Development Committee.
He has been managing the Western Pacific BBT since 1983, which currently covers Australia and New Zealand. Nareśvara Dāsa is one of the original directors of The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International. He is now focusing his energy on narrating Śrīla Prabhupāda’s works for listeners worldwide.
